Privacy and Personal Data Protection Policy

We wish to state in this document the two reasons which justify the collection of personal data through this webpage, what we do with them, which are your rights and how to exercise them

Use conditions and data protection policy

The Asociación Nacional de Amigos de los Animales (from now on, ANAA) complies with the legislation in force on personal data  protection and with the confidentiality obligations which apply to its activity. ANAA provides the security level required for handling the personal data it processes according to the nature of said data and to the circumstances of said processing in order to avoid as far as possible any alteration, loss, unauthorized access or handling of same.

ANAA collects and processes the data its users freely provide in order to answer their information requests and their interests,  or to handle said data based on the relationship established. They  will be guarded by ANAA during the time the relationship lasts. In any case, the custody will be ensured if their suppression is not requested when said relationship ends and solely during the period of time legally foreseen, or that established by a judge or a court as a consequence of the time limit of legal proceedings. The processed data will be kept as long as said period of time lasts, if keeping them were mandatory or, if there is no such period of time, until the person concerned requests their suppression.

When filling up a form where personal data are requested, the user will be told who the recipient of said data is, the purpose for requesting them, the identity and the address of the person responsible for the file and the right of the user to accessing, modifying, cancelling and opposing use of his data.  Personal data collected will only be used for the purpose mentioned and solely prior consent from the user. ANAA will not hand over his data to third parties with commercial or profit purposes, without prejudice to those which must be communicated to  the Spanish Tax Agency as well as to banks and financial institutions for collection of the service rendered, the product purchased or for payment of the cost derived from the contracts signed, as well as to those in charge of the processing for the execution of the agreements. They will also be subject to the cession the Association must carry out at all times according to the legislation in force or in such cases in which it is necessary and proportionate for defending the interests and the aims of the Association.

 

Legitimation for personal data processing.

The legitimation for processing your personal data by ANAA in order to handle the relationship established among the different groups related or persons linked to the association is based in the legitimate interest of the Association for handling same in accordance with the legislation in force.

On the other hand, the sending of communications and information on ANAA’s activities is based on the express consent requested and can be modified or rectified at any moment when same cannot be based on the legitimate interest. Nevertheless, the withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of data processing in accordance with the legislation in force and the legitimate interest.

The legal basis for personal data handling carried out by ANAA is as follows:

  • Execution of the relationship contracts of associates, sponsors, adopters, volunteers, based on legitimate interest;
  • Obtention of consent for sending communications on activities, campaigns, events;
  • Obtention of consent for the use of own and minors’ images voluntarily provided (not for commercial purposes and solely for circulation in the Association’s own channels).

We wish the information in our files to always be updated and true, and we therefore ask our users to inform us as soon as possible of any possible modification and correction of their personal data.

 

Users’ rights regarding the handling of their personal data

Any user can at any moment exercise his rights by filling up the following form. We inform you that the rights he can exercise are:

  • Access rights to his personal data.
  • Right to request the correction or elimination of same.
  • Right to request the limitation of handling.
  • Right to object to their handling.

We wish to point out as well that the user may file a claim before the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (Spanish Data Protection Agency), c/Jorge Juan, 6, 28021, Madrid, if he considers he has not received a satisfactory answer in the exercise of his rights.
